Christopher Palmieri

Chief Executive Officer

 

In addition to his leadership role at Winter Street Ventures, Chris serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Care Alliance  (CCA). CCA is known for its many healthcare innovations, and WSV is a great example.

 

Prior to joining CCA in 2015, Chris advised private equity investors about healthcare technology, and served as CEO of Remedy Partners, a national bundled payment company in Darien, CT. He led Remedy Partners to close on a $50 million round of Series C financing with Bain Capital Ventures. Chris also served as President and CEO of VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans, successfully transforming it into a $2 billion safety-net insurance organization offering both Medicare Advantage and New York State Medicaid Managed Care products.

John Loughnane, MD,

Chief of Innovation

 

One of the foremost innovators in clinical medicine today, Dr. Loughnane created the CCA Innovation Lab and serves as WSV’s Chief of Innovation. As the creator of CCA’s Life Choices Palliative Care program, Dr. Loughnane completely

re-engineered how end-of-life care is delivered to the most at-risk patients.

 

Dr. Loughnane has been with CCA since 2009, serving in a number of roles including Senior Vice President of Medical Services, and Medical Director of Commonwealth Community Care and CCA's Inpatient Service at Boston Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. Before coming to CCA he was Hospitalist Medical Director at Quincy Medical Center. In 2016, he also served as Co-Chair of the Planning Committee for Center for Advancement of Palliative Care's annual conference, and is an Affiliate Faculty Member at Ariadne Labs.
